Announcing Accessibility Forum Community Bulletin Board

In response to numerous requests from member organizations, we have created the Accessibility Forum Community Bulletin Board as a new service to Forum members. The Bulletin Board can be used by members to post a URL on the Accessibility Forum web site that provides a link to their web sites informing Forum members about products, services, opportunities, meetings and events, and any other announcements relevant to Section 508 and the work of the Forum.

The Bulleting Board can be accessed at bulletin.html

Any member who wishes to post a bulletin should send an email to forumstaff@aticorp.org providing:

  • The URL that provides the link.

  • A maximum 2 sentence description of the information the link represents.
  • A point of contact for the staff to use to clarify anything regarding the proposed bulletin.

Examples:

www.abc.com
Information about the ABC Company’s latest web-checker.
Mary Smith

www.456.xyz.com
This is a link to the presentation material the Accessibility Forum will be using at the ATIA conference in January, 2002.

The staff will review each item submitted for accuracy of the link (that the link “works”), the length and content of the description, and the to ensure the content on the page being linked relates to Section 508, the work of the Forum, or accessibility issues.

We hope this new service will greatly increase the members’ opportunities to communicate with each other and provide a broader level of awareness of member activities and capabilities
